I work with people experiencing grief, loss, and trauma, offering a supportive space to begin making sense of difficult and often overwhelming experiences. I also support clients living with chronic illness, low self-esteem, and challenges around cultural identity.
My path into counselling began through my own therapy in my twenties, where I processed experiences of grief and trauma. That journey was a turning point, showing me the value of having a space where you can be truly heard and supported, and inspiring me to offer that to others.
I have a particular interest in bereavement counselling, shaped by both lived experience and my time volunteering with Cruse Bereavement Care. This work deepened my understanding of the many forms grief can take, whether through death, illness, relationship endings, or life transitions.
Over time, I've found myself working with many people who have experienced trauma and loss, as well as those who are often seen as "the strong ones" in their families, people who have coped alone for a long time and are ready to support themselves.
I also have experience working with individuals living with chronic illness, including supporting kidney patients and their families in short-term counselling. This often involved navigating the emotional impact of diagnosis, uncertainty, and questions around mortality, meaning, and what matters most.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I draw on therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), alongside other approaches, to support healing in a way that feels safe and manageable.
At the heart of my work is creating a space where you don't have to hold everything on your own, where you can begin to process, understand, and move towards healing at your own pace.
