Clients often describe me as warm, empathic, intuitive, and easy to talk to, and I try to bring those qualities into the space we create together.

I work with adults, young people (11+), and couples, supporting a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with couples and relationships, especially cross-cultural and multicultural relationships, where identity, communication, and differing values can bring both richness and complexity.

I am also a bilingual therapist and offer Mandarin-speaking counselling, supporting clients from Mandarin-speaking communities who may feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their first language.

My approach is rooted in Gestalt therapy, which encourages awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and relationships in the present moment. I often use creative techniques to support insight and emotional clarity. I combine this with somatic work (mind-body techniques), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and other approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Narrative Therapy. This allows me to adapt how I work depending on your needs, whether that's exploring emotions, understanding patterns, or finding practical ways forward. My support is trauma-informed, meaning we work collaboratively and at a pace that helps you stay regulated and safe, rather than overwhelmed.

I have a strong interest in supporting clients from multicultural or ethnic minority backgrounds, those who are neurodivergent, and individuals exploring sexuality and gender identity. Having lived in different countries and experienced diverse cultures myself, I understand the impact of feeling different or experiencing a sense of "otherness," and how this can affect identity, relationships, and belonging.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience supporting clients with chronic health conditions, acquired disabilities, and stroke recovery. My previous work with a youth mental health charity, the Stroke Association, and NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire, as well as my current role as a Child and Adolescent Trauma Therapist with a local domestic and sexual abuse charity, has given me valuable insight into the emotional and psychological impact of these experiences, including adjustment, loss, shame, guilt, powerlessness, and the process of rebuilding a sense of self.

I also offer coaching for life and career development, supporting clients who are exploring direction, purpose, or change in their personal or professional lives.

At the heart of my work is a belief that therapy should feel collaborative, respectful, and empowering. I aim to create a space where all parts of you are welcome, supporting you to better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and move forward in a way that feels meaningful and authentic.

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, committed to providing a professional, inclusive, and culturally sensitive therapeutic space.
