Our story
How it started
The Counselling Space was founded by Beccie with a clear and heartfelt purpose: to make it easy for clients to find fully trained, highly experienced counsellors and psychotherapists, without the confusion or long waits that so often stand in the way of getting help.
But Beccie's vision went beyond just client access. She was equally passionate about creating something meaningful for therapists themselves, a place where counsellors could come together, work as a genuine team, and support one another rather than practise in isolation.
That spirit of collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. The Counselling Space is a dynamic, close-knit team united by a shared commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Who we are
The Counselling Space is a co-operative of independent counsellors and psychotherapists based at 6 Pirelli Way, Eastleigh, Hampshire (SO50 5GF). We provide a welcoming, professional environment where clients can access high-quality therapy without long NHS waiting lists.
All of our therapists are qualified, insured, and accredited with or working towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) — two of the UK's leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy.
We serve clients in Eastleigh, Southampton, Winchester, Chandler's Ford, Hedge End, and across Hampshire. Online and telephone sessions are available for clients throughout the UK.

What we offer

Individual Counselling
One-to-one therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and more. Sessions in person in Eastleigh or online.
Couples Counselling
Relationship counselling for couples navigating communication difficulties, conflict, infidelity, or major life changes.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing for trauma and PTSD, delivered by trained EMDR therapists.
Clinical Supervision
Individual and group supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists across Hampshire.
Online Therapy
Video and telephone counselling for clients across the UK who prefer to work remotely.
Professional Development
Training, workshops, and a supportive community for counsellors and therapists at every career stage.
